Ricardo Gutierrez

On June 22, 2008 at approximately 1:20 am, officers were stopped at a red light on Fulton at E. Crosstimbers and saw a vehicle stopped at the same red light.  After observing that vehicle stopped, officers watched the vehicle drive through the red light and drive north on Fulton before the light turned green.  Officers pulled behind the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at 8500 Fulton.   The vehicle continued to 8700 Fulton and pulled into the parking lot of a bar.  Officers observed the driver, identified as Ricardo Gutierrez, 50 years old, exit the vehicle and appeared to be very intoxicated.  Officers conducted Field Sobriety Tests and Gutierrez was placed under arrest for DWI.  After being transported to the station, Gutierrez refused to take a breath test.  Because of his prior convictions he was charged with Felony DWI.

Ricardo Gutierrez pled guilty to Felony DWI.   This was his 7th DWI conviction.

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
